Eligibility and User Restrictions

The company provides South African users the option to bet on a variety of sports and events. To participate, you must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in the jurisdiction where you reside, if higher. All users agree to the betting rules of the bookmaker.

The following people are not allowed to place bets on the site:

  • People under the age of 18;
  • People directly involved in the sports events, such as athletes, referees, coaches, club management, owners, or anyone acting on their behalf;
  • Staff or representatives of other betting companies;
  • Any person prohibited by applicable law from betting or contracting with bookmakers.

Betting Rules and Regulations

The brand follows strict rules to ensure fairness and transparency in betting. Here are the key points:

  • PariPesa South Africa can refuse bets from users who break the rules or act against public order. The bookmaker does not need to explain why a bet was declined;
  • Bets are settled using data from official processing centers. Users must claim their winnings within 60 days of the event date shown on the bet slip;
  • Disputes about winnings must be reported within 10 days. Users should provide their profile number, bet details, and the reason for the dispute. For cyber-live games, disputes must be raised within 72 hours after the event ends;
  • A bet is valid only if all predictions in the bet are correct. Changes to odds, handicaps, totals, or limits after placing the bet will not change the terms already agreed upon;
  • Bets on events where the outcome is already known will be settled with odds of 1.0.

Dispute Resolution Process

The bookmaker advises players to use a pre-arbitration step for resolving disputes. Complaints need to be filed in writing within 10 days of discovering a problem, with documented proof. Complaints not deemed to have enough merit will be ignored.

Please read below for the cases where refunds will be issued:

  • They include technical errors like incomplete streams of the event or failures in eSports matches where the event did not take place or bets were not processed;
  • Bets placed on invalid odds, errors, or unsportsmanlike behavior will also be refunded at odds of 1.0.

It could lead to legal action if users are not satisfied with the resolution. All disputes will be processed by a court in the jurisdiction where PariPesa is registered.

Account Verification and Security

The betting site may ask users to verify their accounts to ensure compliance and security. Users need to provide:

  • Proof of identity, like an ID or passport;
  • Proof of residence, like a utility bill or bank statement.

Sometimes, users may also need to complete a video verification. This process is usually reviewed within five working days. Accounts inactive for three months will be temporarily blocked. To reactivate an account, users must contact the security team at security@paripesa.com.
